[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

The clover menu will appear, but after 5 seconds it will automatically boot the Last Selected Volume. So you don't have to press anything. And then the Apple logo will appear.

I don't know, but there might be a way to hide the Clover screen during boot... maybe someone reading this can confirm?

Remove boot arguments -v and Set timeout to 0,
Read this https://clover-wiki.zetam.org/Configuration/Boot#Timeout

If you need the boot loader again just press a key while booting.

Ups didn’t have the touched anything but my screen got first blue and now is dark all the time I cant even see the bios screen

Did you install any kext without rebuilding the kext cache? try to boot in safe mode and see if that happens.

@CaseySJ You wrote somewhere in your guide that your i9900k benchmarks are 6.4k on single core and 33k on multicore with Geekbench, is that still like that?

Because I get way better on stock without overclocking do you want me to doublecheck my Bios?

  • I have the i7-9700K with 8 cores and 8 threads.
  • You have the i9-9900K with 8 cores and 16 threads. Lucky you!

Latest versions of Windows and MacOS fully support SMB 3.0, which in my experience has been far more reliable than its predecessors.

@xanderevo , I have pretty much the same set up as you except I have a RX580 instead of a Vega and my multicore score is slightly lower than yours. I read in this thread that they noticed an increase in geekbench score when changing from iMacPro 1,1 to iMac18,3. Is there any truth to SMBIOS settings affecting performance? Is there a compelling reason to switch to iMacPro 1,1? System has been solid so far.

Here are my scores:

By the way, were you able to resolve the memory module problem?
