Hi

I am new here at the forum.
I just found this site and the tools via a YT clip that showed how easy it can be to install a "hackintosh".

My problem is that after I've set the recommended UEFI BIOS settings according to the guide for High Sierra I get stuck att loading the installer.
This is after I've chosen to load the Mac OS installation files from the USB via clover.

It starts to load just fine, and its pretty quick, although when the progress bar arrives at about 3/4 of the way a loading "circle" appears and after about a minute or two it just gets stuck. Have I done anything wrong in the UEFI BIOS?

Any ideas what to try now?

Specs
  • Motherboard: Asus Z-97 E
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 4690K
  • RAM: Corsair XMS 3 (CMX8GX3M2A1333C9)
  • Graphic card: Asus GeForce GTX 960 STRIX 2GB directCU II OC (STRIX-GTX960-DC2OC-2GD5)
Thanks in advance
Best Regards, Niklas

@XaivepA, please update your profile (personal details) with your Motherboard (Mobo), CPU and Graphics Card.
The Rules said:
Profiles need to contain at least your primary system to assist others with helping you.

Boot your system in Verbose Mode and post a picture of your screen when it freezes/hangs.
At Clover Boot Screen press space bar and select Verbose (-v)

Hi @BreBo I'll update right away.
Sorry for this miss in the rules section.

And I tried verbose mode yesterday, I'll fix that to.

Best Regards
Niklas

EDIT: Personal info. is filled in for now. ;) :)

So I didn’t really work out how to make a screenshot in verbose mode.

I tried to take some photos on the screen... the load of installer gets stuck several times. I’ll post the pic’s accordingly. (The last one, the one with two lines. That’s where it really loses it).

This is the last screen, where it gets totally stuck.

The 3 pic’s here is the same as above, but divided into 3. I hope it makes it easier to to read. The one above is a bit blurry...

And here it is where it gets stuck in normal boot. (When loading the installer)...

Typically this scenario is a graphics card issue.
Your system should have an IGPU, consider using it instead of the Nvidia card for the install.

Desktop HD4600 requirements:
- config.plist/Graphics/Inject/Intel=true
- config.plist/Graphics/ig-platform-id=0x0d220003
- config.plist/Devices/FakeID/IntelGFX=0
- BIOS DVMT-prealloc 64mb
- digital connection to your monitor (VGA not supported)
- VT-d disabled or use dart=0

Hi

Yes it has, and i tried to force to integrated graphics in BIOS but that didn’t work.
But I will try the configs as well.
