  • If you have a real Mac or another hack running Mavericks, then you will be told that there is an update.
  • Keep an eye on MacRumors.com or another similar online magazine that covers Apple.
  • TonyMac has a twitter feed that you can follow: https://twitter.com/tonymacx86
  • The front page is good for news updates :http://www.tonymacx86.com/home.php
  • Articles thread: http://www.tonymacx86.com/articles/
  • The buyers guide will be updated with the NEW socket 2011 processors (around 15th of the month)
  • Above all, keep your ear to the ground for information from several sources.

Yup ill do that!

So someone posted on a different thread that I could try and replace the Kernel file with a modded one. I used the one from here---http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/163-109-ivy-bridge-e-atom-lapic-fix-kernel/

and these are my results, does anyone know whats wrong?

What step are you at on the instructions listed on that page?

This kernel is compiled using 10.7.1 patch made by nawcom which in turn is based on the kernel patcher made by Meklort.

Installation:
*Remember if you have Ivy Bridge-E or Atom processor it is necessary to use the NullCPUPowerManagement.kext
1.Replace your kernel with this (Obviously)
2.Delete KernelPatcher.dylib, from your Module folder.
3.Reboot and the first boot with -v and -f (Otherwise you're going to get kernel panic)
4.Run Kext Utility
5.Enjoy

10.9 IVY-E Atom Lapic fix.diff.zip Is source code

1- check
2- couldent find the file
3- tried -v -x total fail I'll try it again
4- haven't been able to boot yet so dosent matter.

OK, try adding PCIRootUID=0, you could replace npci=0x3000 on a different attempt - it does kill audio though so using npci=0x2000 would be the preferred option.
Keep records of what that you are trying. Document everything.
I think that this is going to be hit and miss right across X79 board/CPU combinations and using a from 10.7.1 doesn't seem like the best solution to this. The sooner that Apple support the CPU options the better for all users.

Hi all,

I plan to switch from GTX580 video card to a GTX Titan (GK110A, the compatible chipset). Should i do any manipulation before or after ? Is there a risk not to boot anymore ?

Thanks.

Just to give everyone a heads up. I got my system running 10.9.1 just fine. Only thing I need to do is get the USB 3.0 kext file installed. Here is my MultiBeast setup, and my Chameleon Wizard.
