Maybe it's time to do a little research of your own - Link

Apologies, I got carried away.

I can definitely take it from here. Thanks again, your help was invaluable!

No worries - Good luck with your build

Unfortunately, I'm back with bad news

Everything was running great, and I was playing around with Mavericks. I came across Final Cut Pro X, which must have been on an external hard drive I had plugged in. The program opened, and stupidly I clicked on "Download Additional Content." The moment my finger hit the mouse, the computer totally shut down. Fans stopped immediately, lost all power.

I'm now back to the strange boot problem that I talked about in my first couple posts. All drives power up and all fans power to full speed with no sent to the monitor, and no POST beeps. From there, sometimes the system will shut itself off, and sometimes I have to cut the power manually, as the front i/o stops working as well.

I've tried removing the BIOS battery, reseating the RAM, and unplugging PSU, as these three things helped me before with this problem.

Nothing.

Maybe it's just time I get a more reliable PSU, like an RM750.
