I don't notice any more noise with the Radeon VII than I did with the 1080TI. Seems stable so far. No crashes yet. My OS is vanilla. Everything is in Clover/EFI.

I am noticing now that my mouse stutters at times. Same way it used to with Nvidia drivers a couple years ago with Sierra.

I'm on the cusp of ditching my 1080Ti and installing a Radeon VII. Did you go with the Sapphire version and any issues during the changeover?

Yes, went with Sapphire. No issues other than the mouse stutter once in a while.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to why the Radeon VII which seems to be recognized across benchmark apps like Luxmark and Geekbench and by Profiler but will not accelerate FCPX. It seems to provide a bit of support but does not fill GPU History in Activity Monitor the way my RX 580 would show it was being maxed out. I am running 18,3 SMBIOS, 7700K, Gig Z170X gaming mobo. I tried SMBIOS iMacPro 1,1, turned of iGPU (it crashes otherwise) and FCPX flew, rendering was 2X faster than my RX 580 but no matter what I do I can't get FCPX to do the same thing in 18,3. Thanks.

Could you try SMBIOS 19,1 (Clover Configurator supports it)?

I ran with a Sapphire Radeon VII and no issues other than WhateverGreen 1.2.8 which didn't let me boot. I have 1.2.7 and all is well.
Could you please provide more information on Clover setup and Mac OS version?
I'm interested in buying this card, Can it work with Z170 Chipset + iMAC 17.1 SMBIOS ?

Tried 19,1. No difference. Everything works great in 18,1 except for FCP.
