Edit: Found the correct one, and it states the correct LayoutID is 12.
The CodecID for my sound card is 351359086.

Would I be correct to think this?

You are amazing. The audio now works (almost) perfectly.

Two problems however.

• Mics are detected, but do not receive any audio. Tested with various apps.
• Sound buzzes under high usage. (Probably not solvable. Not a major issue.)

All dependent on the patches done to AppleHDA. Fixing would require understanding much about the process of patching and redoing/fixing various parts of it (layout12.xml.zlib Platforms.xml.zlib files).

No idea here, as I've never tried patching an AppleHDA from scratch (someday I hope to learn more, read the HDA spec, and do some patching of my own...)
