Right it is from the guide I followed originally, the one that's tailored for my hardware. I thought yours was for booting the OS X installer. So I should try yours, right? No chance of getting any further with what I already got?

Try current setup as recommended in the current laptop guide.

Be sure to read the part on DVMT-prealloc.
The required patch is already present and enabled, but it won't work until post-install after a cache rebuild, so be prepared to use an invalid ig-platform-id until you can do that. Keep in mind that ig-platform-id is not the same as fakeid (you do not need to use a fakeid).
