[Guide] Acer Swift 3 – macOS Sierra 10.12.2

I wanted to update on my progress.

I have successfully updated to 10.12.5 without any issues. There was no follow up config that was needed for me at least. I also installed windows 10 alongside my OS X installation, and now have a fully functioning dual boot :)
 
Thanks for the detailed tutorial.
I'm having issue with the brightness fix step, regarding DSDT.DST.
When I try to compile it I'm being given an error (Name already has different type in scope (MDBG[Method])).
Should I remove External(MDBG, MethodObj, 1) from refs.txt?

hi i would like to know how you installed audio for alc255,
What dsdt , ssdt , etc you used to get audio, hdmi, mic working

I can't get my wifi or bluetooth working with the broadcom bcm94352z. the card works because i used it for a few days in windows 10 beforehand
 
Could someone please direct me as to what to do if I have the i5 kaby lake model of this computer. What steps would be different? I've tried looking around and just ended up more confused. Sorry if I'm not following some of the rules with this post as I'm rather new around here (just let me know). Thanks!

Open a separate thread.
Although you may be able to use portions of this guide, you can't expect all of it to work for different hardware.
