i tried, it stopped loading agpm kext.. i copied macmini4,1 entry of agpm.. then renamed it to macmini5,1..

macmini4,1 does not have the vendor ID option there where i can put my graphic card's vendor id.. mine is gtx 560 ti..

your editing it wrong. do some more research. I have a macmini 5,1 def in my AGPM that controls both my gtx 660 ti and the hd4000 on my system with custom edits.
And your definitely NOT going to want to use the 4,1 as your starting point.

Hi Everyone,

Also, they did away with Multi-step Load Line Calibration. This means that the voltage offset will need to be used. I have a 4.6GHz OC, so I use a +.2Vcore offset [after some tweaking I was able to get it down to a +.16Vcore offset, but your results may vary].... (everything else is auto). This can be tweaked more if you have a partition that will boot into Windows. (It is prime95 stable).

I have i7 2600k.. need to make it 4.6 ghz with 47,46,46,46 multiplier set on my z68xp-ud3 board.. tried to adjust the vcore offset with +.20 but i get kp at mountain lion booting only where the apple logo starts and i get kp..

can you guide me what to do to get 4.6 ghz.. i am using your ssdt which is working fine with 4.2 ghz (43,42,42,42).. need to touch 4.6..

thanks

You need to add entries up to 47x in the SSDT.aml
Also, i am not sure it matters, but i think it should be set to 47,47,47,46 not 47,46,46,46.
This will still only go to 46x in OSX, though if your dual booting windows, windows will do as BIOS says and first 3 cores can hit up to 47.
Any system that can do 4 cores at 46 *should* be able to do 3 at 47 in windows though.

and congrats on getting AGPM working.

cheers,

the guy who started this thread attached his ssdt upto 4.6 ghz.. i am using the same.. besides, somewhere in this thread, he said he is using 47,46,46,46 which is working for him..

i tried 47,47,47,46 as suggested by you.. but again kp.. i tweaked the vcore offset to +.20..

and made vcore to go to normal..

any idea what can be wrong..?? i could go upto 46,45,45,45 with just increasing vcore to 1.395v

i am currently running at 4.2 with 43,42,42,42 with vcore at 1.255

yes, like i said you need to add an entry for 47x
then it will work (assuming your cpu is capable which it should be)

You would want to have it set to 47, 46, 46, 46 (where the 47 is your 1 core load)

You'll have to add 47 to the SSDT. I've attached mine to this post and also to the original post.

As far as your vCore goes... That's all dependent on your board/proc.

Thank you so much for this thread! I was having issues with OCing on 10.8 (updated from F12 bios to U1h). I used your custom SSDT (stupidly didn't change the name to JUST SSDT.aml and left it the same and kept getting KP no matter what, so pulled the ssd and renamed the file on my other mac). Using i7 2600k, same motherboard.

I tried going 4.6 GHz - 47 46 46 46. Vcore offset +.2, but as soon as I prime95 started the 6th thread, it just turned off Vcore jumping up to 1.4v almost. So I brought it down 100MHz to 46 45 45 45 and offset to +.16. Did p95 and it ran on all 8thread with 800% cpu utilization (100% per thread) for about 10 minutes then shut off. I'm just going to leave it like this for now and see if during daily work it is stable.

CPU temps maxed at 72C, nothing higher than that. I have a g5 mountain mods case mod build with 2x120mm fans in the front as intake, a 120mm cpu fan and large vertical heatsink with 8 copper heat pipes and large aluminum fins. 2x80mm exhaust fans. They were blowing out nice warm air. My CPU fan is a little lopsided or something I can hear it when it revvs to 2000 rpm and it vibrates a bit.

THANK YOU for this! SpeedStep is working correctly!

You're welcome! I'm glad you got it to work! :)
