Much more progress with your config. That said, USB driver seems to fail.

I think the last line says "Still waiting for root device".

Uploaded EFI per your previous instructions.

Mobo: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Note: When specifying your bootloader, if using Clover legacy, please be sure to specify "Clover legacy"). Specifying "Clover" will be assumed as "Clover UEFI"

Report:

Used FakePCIID.kext, FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext and USBInjectAll.kext.
Used kext patch from Section 7.1 in http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/10-11-0-10-11-3-skylake-starter-guide.179221/ to raise port limit (absolutely necessary as port limit was reached).

Now host device reports IOUSBHostDevice reports "896mA of bus current is not available"

Attach EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (omit 'themes' folder).

Note: FakePCIID_XHCIMux is nonsense on Skylake. There is no EHCI controller in 100-series chipset.

And yet nothing worked without it. Attached.

And yet nothing worked without it. I will in a second.

FakePCIID_XHCIMux has no effect on Skylake (I know... I wrote the code).

Will try with FakePCIID but without XHCIMux, will report in a few. CLOVER.ZIP is attached in the above post.

You are correct. XHCIMux makes no difference. I have went through and plugged the USB stick into every available port on the laptop. It is detected on every single one but refuses to initialize due to power bus. The port IDs are 15100000, 15300000, 15400000 and 15500000.

GenericUSBXHCI.kext also has no effect with your hardware.

Try using a USB2 stick. Also try using a powered USB hub. You probably have a quirky USB setup...

Ok. Will remove GenericUSBXHCI.kext and will try USB 2.0 and if it doesn't work a powered Hub.

Do you trust its reading of power requirement or it's an ACPI-misread?
