I have been able to get the display brightness slider on System Preferences/Display with the help of this post:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...rol-using-applebacklightinjector-kext.218222/

Now, I'm trying to fix the display brightness keys with the help of this post:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-patching-dsdt-ssdt-for-laptop-backlight-control.152659/

So far, I have:
-Installed ACPIDebug.kext with terminal and rebuilt cache.
-Edited DSDT.dsl with MaciASL, applying both patches, compiled and saved as ACPI Machine Language Binary to ACPI/patched.

After rebooting and opening the console app I clicked on system.log, but no changes were made to the file. Below is my console.log after pressing F1-F12.

No kernel logs in system.log on 10.12.x and later.

I have seen that the brightness keys have been assigned to the F14 and F15 keys, which I have remapped to Fn+F5 and Fn+F6, but is there a way to assign them to trigger when I press only F5/F6 instead of Fn + F5/F6 ? If I try to do that in the shortcut menu, the keys won't register at all.

Your BIOS probably has such an option.
If you were to connect a USB keyboard, you could re-assign the brightness keys from F14/F15 to F5/F6.

I tried with an external USB keyboard, but I still have to use Fn + F5/F6 to change it. The only minor problem I have with this is that to change the volume I have to use F2/F3 without pressing the Fn key, and with brightness I have to use Fn + F5/F6. It's not a big problem really, but it would be nice if there was a way to fix it.

Perhaps you didn't patch your brightness keys correctly.

Hey there again, I have another problem related with storing brightness level after shutting the computer down. I have copied EmuVariableUefi-64.efi to Drivers64UEFI and I have installed RC Scripts when installing Clover to the booting disk, but when starting the hackintosh it boots up with maximum brightness.
Here is my clover folder.
Thank you for the feedback.

"Problem Reporting" files are incomplete.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

Use the gen_debug.sh tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

Sorry, my bad.
I have tried using gen_debug.sh, however when it finishes running the folder that should be on my desktop disappears.
I have followed the Problem Reporting guide instead. I hope I didn't miss anything.
