I'm trying to sell stuff off to try and get an ASUS ZenBook UX510UW-RB71, and I was wondering if anyone here has ever hackintoshed this particular laptop (or at least its series)? >>Please<< don't link me to the Clover install guide, with laptop specifics I'd need to do etc. I don't have the computer yet. I'm just wondering if this machine is hackintoshable, and since it's got dual GPUs (Intel HD and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 940m with 4 GB RAM) is it Optimus? Can the iGPU be disabled and can OS X function with ONLY the dGPU as its main source of graphical computational power?

Thanks,
Shiggitay

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html

Although you should read the FAQ for an overview of issues, the Clover guide is linked from the first question: "Q. Where do I start?", just after the bold face "Clover Guide".
Here is a direct link, just to be clear:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Also, your profile must be filled out with complete details as requested in the FAQ, again under "Q. Where do I start?". All seven details requested are equally important.

And if you have an issue (after following the guide), or on any other problem, you must provide a detailed description of the problem including information that helps us understand what you're doing. Always attach "Problem Reporting" files as per FAQ.

The required files and data are fully detailed in the last question in the FAQ:
"Q. What are typical "Problem Reporting" files?"

-_-;; I specifically asked that such links not be posted as I don't have the machine yet. A simple yes or no would have sufficed.

Unfortunately, such questions cannot be answered with a "simple yes or no"...

I would have also accepted it if you said that no one's attempted to hackintosh the machine I have in mind...

The FAQ covers that specific question.
You need to use search.

Hello Dear,

I have the same this Asus laptop and I couldn't install it.

Each time I try when I boat Mac os from flash it give me this massage:
"This version of Mac OS X is not supported on this platform. Reason: Mac xxxxxxx"

I guess it's all because of Nvidia discrete graphics card which should be disable because it doesn't support Mac OS,
But I don't know how to disable it to get it pass.

I tried many time but still no avail :( , although someone told me that it's possible to install it but still we're trying.
