Haven't started this as of yet as monies are tight at the moment, and I want to make sure that this is even possible before i begin.
Has anyone tried this before? And if so, is it working problem free enough to embark?
The components;
BitFenix Prodigy

ASUS Z97I-PLUS...
Thanks for the input!
Thing is that I want a little more juice when it comes to graphics and there is no other option apart from Mac Pro. And who want's to cough up that kind of money? :)
I'll have a look at it when it's available in the Apple store, and if the graphics don't cut I might...
Fellow hackintoshers, am I asking for too much?
Does anyone know if there is any news on a hack friendly Mini ITX MoBo with thunderbolt?
You see..
I am currently looking at getting the new iMac, AWESOME!
But before I did that I wanted to find out if I should instead attempt to make...
Just got it!!
I am still amazed at the detail, excellent work!
Any suggestions on how i should go about to get the edges rounded of?
I have a Dremel that i could use but I am sort of scared it will maybe ruin the look of it.
Again, huge thanks to greg!
If you ever...
Yeah, i had to sacrifice the DVD frame.
Honestly, I don't see how they thought anyone could use a DVD/bluray-player with this case as airflow would then be severly crippled.
Temperature without the lid is around 45ºC idle mode, and 65ºC with processor pretty much maxed out.
With the lid on, i have an idle temperature of around 55ºC and 85ºC max. Too high still and I have ordered perforated aluminum sheet to make my own lid out of.
I really hope that works as my...
I've tried a high quality thermal paste with success! I used Arctic Silver 5 which is like 99,9% pure silver and i lowered the CPU temp by a couple of degrees.
Oh I would also like to add that with the lid on and the fan running at maximum speed, the warmest temperature my CPU is reporting is 85 degrees C. Running 1080p bluray rip in PLEX.
I consider that being too much as the i5 shouldn't be running much warmer than 75-80 degrees according to random...
I have the same case you have
I have also encountered the same problems you're having. And my fix is not yet complete but when I am done, I hope it will be for good.
You see, I have been trying all sorts of CPU coolers, including the one from Scythe that you are using.
Airflow is...
I am having the most annoying issue with my newest plex build. My build is the Customac Mini 2011 with the Gigabyte GA-H67N-USB3-B3 using the latest recommended version of Lnx2Mac's Realtek RTL81xx Driver. Also, i am on 10.7.3
Everything (apart from network) is working as expected.

I am building my second hack right now and I am using a quality case from Streacom.
Figured the silver one sorta looked like the Mac Mini case and when my friends ask me, i'll just tell them it's the new Mac Pro prototype :P
Be aware that it uses pico PSU that maxes out at 150-170watts so you...
Since both Newegg and Amazon are discontinuing the Gigabyte GA-H67N (what it seems like) will there be a CustoMac Mini 2012 update soon?
I have been desperately looking for the Gigabyte GA-H67N MB without any luck and i don't really want the GA-H61N since it is missing SATA 3.0.
Re: AudioEnabler - Patcher for Onboard & HDMI - TESTERS NEEDED

I get the compile errors from the the lines in Tony's code. I think I doing something wrong though.
Re: AudioEnabler - Patcher for Onboard & HDMI - TESTERS NEEDED
