Clover did the trick. Everything besides WiFi (which I was aware of) is working. Multitouch gestures (3 fingers) are a bit finicky, you have to be super specific with the direction of your fingers. Outside of that everything is running great. Thanks for your help.
I know its a broadcom wifi chip, but I didnt expect it to work. I disabled the adapter the 3rd time around via the keyboard button. I don't have it hooked up to the internet during the install either.
I will have to find a windows disc somewhere to figure the other information out, will...
6560b stops at "Setting Up Your Mac..."
HP Probook 6560b (noticed the title said 6460b, changed that)
i5-2520m
HD3000 Graphics (im assuming since there is no option to disable anything video related in the BIOS)
Downloaded it directly from the app store on my macbook pro, not sure what version...its just whatever you get when you download Mavericks from the app store (which I did this morning). Created the installer also following your guide.
Should I make a new unibeast drive?
Followed the guides perfectly, install goes well until the very end. It's been sitting on "Setting Up Your Mac.." for a solid 15 minutes thus far after it quickly runs through the final checks. It's not frozen, I can still move the mouse and use the keyboard. I am getting intermittent HD...
I am coming from a previously working setup using Lion
I'm on a GA-Z68X-UD5-B3 motherboard with a GV-R6850C-1GD Video Card. I have successfully created my unibeast usb stick in Lion as well. The installation gets past the apple logo and white spinning wheels , the screen flashes and gets to a...
I generally do not have many problems since I built my system (CustoMac Pro Build - GA-Z68X-UD5-B3) with the intentions of running osx. I have been using an external usb audio interface for a while but it finally broke on me, so I was forced to get my onboard audio working after all of this...
I dont, ill see what I can do about testing it.
FYI, you guys should remove the recommended Asus BT adapter in your customac builds. In searching this forum, I've found many many people see its incompatibile...so why recommend people to buy it? Kind of a waste of money =/
The light is on, but not blinking.
I am running Lion and yes, its the RF-MRBTAD model.
(edit) and yes, I had my wireless mouse dongle hooked up there and it worked. I've also tried it on some of the back ports...nothing.
This happens to me sometimes if the HD and Screen goes to sleep. When I try to wake the computer, it just fails over and over again.
I do a hard reset, and see in BIOS that it has changed back to IDE. So it was not having AHCI enabled that was causing the error on boot.
Just a lil frustrated buying 2 diff adapters....one that was included in the customac build (figured that would work right?) and then bought the rocketfish one per the recommendation of this forum...neither work.
Is there some kind of definitive list or compatibility list? Im tired of wasting...
I just bought the rocketfish dongle based on this forums advice...and its not showing up or detecting in my system proflier.
I'm a bit new to all of this, so is there something additional I need to do in order to make this work?
I'm having similar problems. I built the Sandy Bridge CustoMac Build #4, and bought the Asus bluetooth dongle per the recommendation of the CustoMac post, it shows up in my System Profiler as Vendor-Specific Device.
I'm running 10.6.8 and used a DSDT from the DB.
