So my setup was working flawlessly until I updated to 10.9.4 where everything is working perfectly except my trackpad. In order to move the cursor I have to physically press down (not just tapping) on the trackpad and move my fingers to where I want to on the screen all without lifting my finger...

I did install ACPIBacklight.kext. I checked the brightness in syspref and it works fine with the mouse pointer, but once I use the F11 and F12 I get the same 3 keystroke allowance. And i get the keys working again when I move the slider with mouse only to have it stop working after 3-4...

Hey XMYUKON, so I installed the kext modified file (lazy I know :-)) and repaired permission and restarted and put it on "legacy" mode. However, when I increase/decrease brightness in any direction I only get three increments changes and then I lose fn of brightness and I only get the sun symbol...

I did, my current patched dsdt.aml is attached in post 285, and I have no idea who the manufacturer is as it is not listed on my system report, but I would assume it is either Bison, Chicony, or Awazu. My USB 3.0 is working perfectly now, just without Webcam fn. I fix one thing only to lose...

Thanks to you RehabMan and ikkoku, the battery now works perfectly. Attached is the DSDT.aml that I can't seem to patch the "Rename GFX0 to IGPU" dsdt patch without the a "syntax error, unexpected PARSEOP_NAMESEG, expecting ',' or ')'" Line 11267 Code 4124. Thats the only patch I didn't apply...

So I reinstalled Mavericks from scratch and patched a new DSDT.aml and now it is 99% functional including USB 3.0 :) Only problem is battery icon not showing at all, and when I try to enable the icon in setting pref it checks then unchecks by itself and it shows 0% all the time. I did apply the...

I replaced my stock mSATA with a Plextor M5M 256GB and it is amazing! I did the research and the M5M is among if not the fastest mSATA-based drives. I installed Windows 8.1 on it and installed Mavericks on a Samsung 840 Pro. Best investment ever! :-)

so if it showed me the "pre-edited DSDT" then it loaded cwk9852's dsdt.aml successfully? then how come I'm still getting USB 2.0 speeds? Is this a peripheral issue then? if so, my XHCI isn't loading correctly still, how come?

So I tried the DSDT=DSDT1.aml bootflag and no change, when I ran MacIASL I get "Pre-edited DSDT" as the default aml??? I am thinking it didn't even load the DSDT1.aml. Screenshot and IOReg attached. My U310 is simply ignoring any dsdt.aml I try to load upon boot.

Thanks for your contribution XMYUKON, I already know best practice is to patch own dsdt, but I had a few posts with RehabMan and cwk9852 and my patched dadt didnt work, and rehabman checked it and said it looked good. i simply was requesting a preparched dsdt to see if it is a dsdt issue not...

So unlucky! Even after installing your DSDT.aml I am not getting any USB 3.0 fn. There must be something I'm doing wrong.
