Guide To Install Yosemite on HP Laptops with Clover UEFI

You have to give me the troubleshooting files listed in #1 so I can investigate.

But you haven't given me the right one.

So now give me troubleshooting files again.

And here is the link for beta 5, if you want to test too:

You're right. I didn't follow the first post and send you my troubleshooting files. I'm sorry.

Question: How can I send you my troubleshooting files when OSX refuses to load after I run PBI?

Is there something I can do to get Yosemite to start rather than have to reinstall OSX?
Is there an easy way to to check the version of PBI without having to reinstall OSX?

...
Note: -gux_defer_usb2 does nothing when GenericUSBXCHI.kext is not installed.

I don't have BCM BT/WiFi... but Qualcomm Atheros QCA9565 Bluetooth 4.0 + HS Adapter, so, I gave up on: BrcmPatchRAM - Upload firmware into Broadcom Bluetooth USB devices The Guide is meant for Geeks.

I downloaded the BrcmPatchRAM.kext though, used KextBeat to install it to /S/L/E. Should I remove it?

Thanks.

EDIT: I checked /S/L/E and noticed GenericUSBXCHI.kext was not there, so I downloaded it and installed it using KextBeast.

STRANGE!

Please tell me this is right:

My PCI section in About This Mac says "This computer doesn't contain any PCI cards or devices. If you installed or connected, a PCI card or device, make sure they’re properly installed."

More so, I just discovered now that my HDMI audio is not working. Any fix, please?

Boot using your USB.

Your WiFi chip is not supported, so you might as well remove it (or replace it with a WiFi without BT).

May not be a good idea. GenericUSBXCHI.kext has issues on Yosemite. It is better to use AppleUSBXCHI.kext if it works for you.

I completely wiped my drive and started at true absolute zero.

After installation, I restarted, and Yosemite Started.

I ran PBI beta 5 without the config and dsdt patch. restarted.

I ran pbi beta with config and dsdt path. Restarted.

I then did the same two steps with beta 6.

It seems to be all working now.

Should I brave the new PBI update?
Should I update clover at all?

No, Post your EFI/CLover folder (Only Clover folder) for beta 5.

Then, *if you want to help me fix this model in PBI CE*, backup your EFI folder (beta 5), install beta 6.
If system can't boot again:
- Rename EFI folder beta 6 and replace by beta 5.
- If you can boot now, post your EFI folder beta 6.

Successful on beta 6. Now maybe I can get back around to figuring out the track pad issue from my other thread.:D

How about RC3?

Btw, you said beta 6 did not work while ago, why does it work now?

Do you mind a clean install with RC3?
