Wonderful! Thank you so much for getting back to me! I'm actually in the middle of it right now.

And I don't need to redo/change any of the BIOS settings do I? Those should all be okay and unchanged once I reformat?

As always Shilohh thanks for the great updates and build guide, I ran into some issue last night where my Multibeast built the wrong kext files, when I restarted it's getting hung up at the Mac logo with loading bar underneath.

Do you have any idea how I can get it to boot into the OS to load the right Multibeast kexts etc?
You can either plug the drive into a working machine (via usb/firewire adapter or sata) to remove the undesired kexts from /system/library/extensions and repair permissions. You could also do this via the command line in single user mode but you'll have to research that yourself. First you should simply try booting without caches or into safe mode from the clover GUI and see if you can get in that way. If you installed the chimera bootloader, you'll probably need to reformat and reinstall OS X so back up all your files and the files from the EFI partition that you created.

No. The BIOS and settings are stored on a chip on the mobo so erasing the drive won't effect it.

Hi Shilohh,

I was wondering if you'd spotted my previous posts regarding much higher video benchmark scores in windows than in OSX using your build? I did post a few pages back after a massive delay when you requested my ioreg output, which was attached to the last post I made.

Unfortunately, I picked a bad time to post I think as it was just after Yosemite was released and thread quickly expanded with posts relating to this.

I'd really like to get my card working to it's full potential so your help would be appreciated. If you need me to re-dump my ioreg again let me know and i'll do it instantly. I got a new job just after I first posted about this issue and it swallowed up all my time for the first couple of months.

P.S: Attached is my ioreg.txt in a zipfile just in case

Hi. I'll try to look at your ioreg later tonight. If CineBench is low, I wouldn't worry about it. There's not much on the Mac side that requires or taxes OpenGL a lot. Windows drivers from nvidia and AMD usually work better as that is the biggest part of their market and they devote more attention there. If your OpenCL benches are low compared to other users on the Mac side with the same card then you might want to worry. Everything you'd want a high end gpu for on a Mac mostly uses cuda or OpenCL.

A new issue has arise concerning the RAM. I have 64 GB in right now 8 x8GB GSkill, but the OS X is only allowing 32GB?? says my other Slots are Empty. My Bios Sees all ram slots as full and functional.
Do apps like after effects report only 32gb or just system profiler?

I was wondering whether the Nvidia injection could be the cause .... But it was working without problems.
I'm lost.

My first guess would be failing hard drive or ssd. Try booting the USB installer. If that doesn't work I'd suspect failing ram, motherboard or CPU. You'll want to do some research on troubleshooting these items. Also, have you tried booting a windows install?

Hi Shiloh,

Thanks so much for the build, I've been using it for awhile now. I just recently added a 3rd GFX card and rebuild the sys software from scratch using the guide.

After doing so, the system doesn't always boot up. It will hang on a black screen and I have to keep reseting quite a few times before I can finally get it up and running again.

I was wondering if you had any thoughts on why this might be happening?

Thanks again

Unless you inject the cards into the acpi tables you'll have bugs. I'm supprised you didn't have issues with 2 cards. I use SSDTs for injecting all off board devices. I've been meaning to create a guide for this but haven't gotten around to it so it will be faster for me to just make you some. Please save me an ioreg so I can see the addresses of slots your cards are in. Also you should remake your dsdt and see if that helps.

Thanks very much good sir! Once again, apologies for never replying to your initial response after I reported my issue.
