feedback b15, both vga and hdmi, work at the same time! but don't unplug one or the other, your laptop lcd might get messed up, and system non responisve.

when using vga out, and in clam shell closed mode, the lcd display is still active and I don't know how to turn off the laptop lcd, while using the display as primary only.

I applied it when it showed up and it worked just fine, which is not surprising given that this update contains no changes to /System/Library/Extensions.

Still, as is the case with all updates, make a backup first.

Reinstalled my 4530s ProBook using 6.1 beta, and everything works perfectly with a fresh install of 10.8.4.

I've always had stable installs, but somehow now the ProBook feels the most stable and most perfect it's ever been running OSX. I've had it running for 3 days with not a single glitch of any kind. No Ethernet problems this time either.

Sadly, this is the end of my ProBook Hackintosh road. I've sold this machine and am now setting it up for its new owner. (Who will also carry on running OSX on it) Well, I can't be too sad, I just picked up a 2012 MacBook Pro 15". (Had to buy new equipment as a tax write-off for my work, and a MBP fit the bill perfectly.) Really can't complain- the screen on this thing is outrageously good.

But I'll miss the fun of the ProBook, and all the funny glances I've gotten with an HP laptop running OSX when I've used it in public. Plus there was something so satisfying about proving the naysayers and the zealots wrong about OSX being stable and reliable on a PC laptop.

This machine has served me well- I've gotten a ton of work done on it over the past year, 100% of it in OSX. For the tiny amount it cost- even with a bunch of upgrades, it paid me back 10-fold.

Eventually maybe I'll get another Hackable PC laptop, but for now it's back to only desktop Hacks for me. (I gave in with the MacBook, but I doubt I'll ever buy a desktop Mac vs. a Hackintosh.) Thanks to all who've made the ProBook such a great machine for OSX!

Just don't mention this part to Apple.

Well since they aren't on the need to know list... The new owner is a Hackintosh enthusiast too, who wouldn't even own any Apple products if not for OSX on custom hardware. Instead, Apple sells software and its OS to people that they normally would never have as customers.

Hey thought I'd mention this since it isn't very discoverable. Kozlek has added the ability to "tear off" the HwMonitor popup window from menubar. Pop the menu like normal, then grab the caption and drag and it then floats like a regular window. If you move it near the HwMonitor location on the menubar, it will snap back into place.

There has been occasions where I wanted to keep an eye on a particular stat while I do other things, and this makes it possible without adding that stat to the menubar itself.

It is a neat little feature...
