Studio build upgrade & Catalina installation issues

After reading through the specific post below a few times again, i decided to use the USBMap.kext from the @GeraldB last OC EFI.zip

[Success] ASUS TUF Gaming Z490-PLUS - i9-10850K - Saphire Radeon RX590 Nitro+

In Open Core Configurator i enabled the usbmap.kext after making the adjustments mentioned in the above post, i disabled usbinjectall.kext as mentioned in the same post but have left it there in case & saved.

I restarted and reset the nvram, booted back into Big Sur 11.6.8 and all my USB 3.0 ports are working(Some pictures included) USB C isn't working but i am ok with that for the time being, something i can look at in time, just like audio, but no big worries?

A big thank you to everyone who has helped me throughout the weeks of ups n downs :)

I am hoping to put a guide together once i fully finish and photograph the completed build in the coming weeks(Hopefully).

maybe by getting the usb ports kext working correctly, it may solve your sleep/wake issues
Hi, i have managed to get the USB 3.0's working now as in below post.

Sleep just shuts the system down now, i have done some reading, but not got very far though, but obviously made progress getting all my USB 3.0's working :)

Any advice would be appreciated, EFI is in the above post.

Thanks in advance :)

I was looking at your USBMap.kext

Why All the USB port "Type" is 3 for all your ports except SS10 ?
Why SS10 has a different "Type" than the others ?

Further back in this thread it had been mentioned that one port needed to be 225, so i started at SS10 and was going to work my way backwards until i found which port needed to be 225, and after doing SS10 all my ports worked, i just dont have USB 3.1 or C which is not a big issue for myself at present.

Hope that makes sense?

As far I as Know
Type 225 is for internal USB connection and most of the time USB 2connection
That means Type 225 should not be for SSxx ports , only HSxx Ports
Your HS04 & HS09 are (Seeing your capture screen) internal Hub so they should be Type 225
Your HS13 (aura LED) should be Type 225
I'm not a expert, If someone can correct me if I'm wrong
Hope this helps
EDIT
You should also have HS14 dedicated for the bluetooth (Type 225) ..since your motherboard has this feature

Thank you for the info/advice, having read back a bit i can see what you mean, i will take another look at my USBMap.kext

A side note
maybe "internal hub" is misleading
Type 225 is for true hardware internal hub and not a plug for an USB header

Thank you, i will make a note of that before i change anything :)

Hi both.

Just to correct you ...

The number for an internal port should be 255 and not 225.

This will confuse macOS and not work. The USBMap.kext you have is in error.

It is true internal ports, rather than headers, are USB2. At present internal ports are only used for Bluetooth, LED controllers and some new Audio codecs.
