Does it works on a real Mac ? on another Hackintosh ? on Windows?

Using the latest version of OC from the mini-guides here (0.77), 12.3 seems to completely break HW acceleration. It seems enabled, and DRM seems to work (can play AppleTV no problem), but anything graphics related is terrible. Scrolling/zooming in Maps is completely borked, parsec refuses to stay open, citing low performance, and opening windows, moving things around is really slow.

I did a fresh install, just to test. Things are fine in Big Sur, things are fine on Monterey 12.2, but Monterey 12.3 beta is unusable with the current settings.

(i9-9900k, z390 designare, rx 5700xt, 32GB ram).

No difference for me with OC 0.74 and 0.77

please update your hardware profile to allow others to help you easier

I experienced similar issues with 12.3 public beta. This is a problem in 12.3. I've gone back to 12.2.

Ah, unfortunate. It seems that others have been able to get 12.3 running smoothly on a Hackintosh, so I wonder if there's some specific issue with our HW or the configuration in OC that is causing this problem. Have you tried with a card other than the 5700 XT?

I am also keen on determining what the culprit might be. My system has a 6800 XT. In addition, the following apps have installed their own drivers:
  • Paragon NTFS for Mac
  • SoftRAID 6.x
  • Parallels 7.x

Under way.......

After about 30 minutes, the Big Sur install from recovery failed with a PKDownload error.

Now booting from Monterey recovery

Monterey recovery installer did the trick. OC shows the correct boot choice for the Monterey disk (not --Data). I'll try once more to fix the Big Sur volume using Big Sur recovery, and, if the download times out again, I will use the Big Sur USB installer I created the other day to do the job.

Still idly curious as to what caused this earlier today. If it comes to you in a dream tonight, or in the shower tomorrow, let me know!

Thanks for your help.

UPDATE--I realized I can't use a USB installer to install Big Sur while running from my Monterey install. I'll try the recovery install approach again tomorrow. Maybe Apple's servers will be more speedy.
UPDATE: I tried installing from Recovery on the Big Sur volume a few times this morning. each time, I got the timeout error. searching for info I found several "correlation=causation" fixes, none of which worked.

I downloaded the latest version of Big Sur that is on gibmacos and created an installer USB. when I tried to install, I learned that the Big Sur installation on my faulty volume is 11.6.3 and the latest gibmacos version is 11.6.1.

so looks like I will wipe the drive and reinstall Big Sur from the gibmacos version installer. as I noted before, the home folder is on a different drive so there won't be anything lost in a wipe and reinstall.

Yes, everything worked fine on Catalina.
But I had to change my GPU (for a new AMD 6900xt)
So Upgraded to Big Sur.
And since, those Problèms appear.

My Apollo16 works fine with my MACPRO (black tube :))

SSDT-DTPG.aml is missing in your EFI
It is required for TB SSDT

Also you need only one of these SSDTs:

SSDT-TB3-HackinDROM.aml > for modified firmware TB
SSDT-Z390-DESIGNARE-TB3HP-V4.aml > preferred for original TB firmware

I suggest you to create an OC EFI from scratch with HackinDROM App on a USB stick and to boot your system to test TB devices

Do you think it would be easier if I buy a PCI Thunderbolt card ?
