[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Do you still have the USB install disk? If so, connect the disk, press F12 at BIOS splash screen to select the USB, but then at the Clover Boot Menu select the normal internal macOS SSD. Does it boot?

Is this Catalina or Mojave?

UPDATE: If you were using native NVRAM, it's possible that MSR 0xE2 has been relocked. Follow the procedure here to unlock it.

I no longer have the Install USB, but yes, I am using native NVRAM. Will check on the register status now.

Certainly:

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I've been using USBPorts.kext recently. This means I've removed USBInjectAll.kext and the SSDT-UIAC-DESIGNARE-Z390-V7.aml. This version of USBPorts will only with if SMBIOS is iMac19,1.

hi, sorry you have a bunch of duplicates in your photo. Can you click the clean and refresh buttons in hackintosh and then resend? Also can you send over your full ACPI folder for EFI? I will try to see if there’s any differences in files under there

  • Refresh button makes no difference. Only look at XHC and XHC3 (which are also on the top of the screenshot).
  • I never post my EFI folder. It's based entirely on the Catalina 10.15.4 mini-guide and the Zip contained therein.
  • MSR 0xE2 on my system is unlocked (using native NVRAM).

Can you list the files you have in ACPI folder then?

I am trying to isolate what the issue could be coming from and it sounds like possibly the ACPI folder or something within it

EDIT: It is not my USBMAP kext file as I just replaced with yours and still have same codes in log

MSR was indeed locked again, so I did the re-procedure and now I'm back at the original boot issue:
Couldn't allocate runtime area

I'm also using FwRuntimeServices and OcQuirks

oh youre still running on Clover? I was under the assumption that you migrated to OpenCore -- shoot then i cant compare our ACPI folders

But it's very easy to create a Clover USB boot disk. Just follow the Catalina 10.15.4 Mini-Guide, Step 1, but skip bullet #3. You may then with the original SSDT-UIAC... or you may replace both the SSDT and USBInjectAll with USBPorts.

Are you running Mojave or Catalina?

If running Catalina, go to the bottom of the 10.15.4 Mini-Guide and follow the 2nd bullet under Optional Extras. This will upgrade you to a newer memory driver. You can make this change to the USB install disk and try booting from the USB disk.

Sorry, I'm running Catalina.

I downloaded the latest drivers from the indicated post and copied them to a flash drive and was going to use my outdated bootable backup to install those on the SSD EFI partition.

Turned on my hackintosh but overlooked clover for a second, and it booted into the main SSD (default option).
To my surprise, it simply booted fine.
Don't ask me how or why, but it magically came back from the dead. Will try a few cold boots.

Yes I know I could run Netflix on the iPad, but I also run it on my second screen if I'm not using that for other things. The point is to get this build working like a real mac not having to compromise. That is why I asked for help. :)

You can't use sidecar and Netflix in the same time, even on real Mac (main screen or iPad). Listen CaseySJ!
