What patches are necessary for nvram? Have you tried iMac19,1?
I'm not sure, the guy wouldn't say, he posted a list of patches but I don't know what they do and where you can get them, unfortunatelyWhat patches are necessary for nvram?
No but I would think it would still work, I think it's because of the DSDT, not related to the specific SMBIOS.Have you tried iMac19,1?
You're welcome to diff the files, but it's almost 40k lines long... Here's the unmodified clean DSDT and the modified DSDT that allows NVRAM on OC http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=40561690984440084401Can you compare original and modified DSDT? Or send me both files?
I hope @CaseySJ will make time to test this soon. Thanks.I'm not sure, the guy wouldn't say, he posted a list of patches but I don't know what they do and where you can get them, unfortunately

If you find something please let me know, I think this (meaning native nvram support) could be a major breakthrough for Z390. AFAIK Z390 was always considered inferior to Z370 because of forced emulated nvram. Thanks hylkepylke!
I did learn from a different thread (https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...-for-systems-with-amd-gpu.288015/post-2046747) that using iMacPro1,1 with an AMD card allows for most (maybe all) DRM problems to be solved right away.I hope @CaseySJ will make time to test this soon. Thanks.
It's ironic that I posted this only yesterday! And yes I know that is not helpful...
You have an HDMI 2.0 cable and Computer Mode is enabled. The TV does not support HDR or Deep Color, so that's not an issue. The specs do state 4K at 60Hz. At this point it might be good to try SwitchResX?
