Did anyone experiencing fans ramping up or not ramping down after closing a GPU intensive program? For me this fix works wonderfully after booting but the fans fails to ramp down after doing GPUs intensive works...

I am currently using injection method to config.plist, however it doesn't work with kext either.

I found out that this occurs only when I underclock the core frequency (I'm trying to get rid of the coil whine). Well the fan curve works as it should but coil whine in my card still persist during browsing etc... Yeah you win some you lose some

Mojave update 10.14.5 can't come soon enough....


PS: my card has no coil whine on linux or windows, so it's not the PSU or anything

Did you also try to undervolt?
In my experience this might reduce the coil whine a bit.
I use these values: P0=800, P1=900, P2=925, P3=950, P4=975, P5=1000, P6=1025, P7=1050 (all values are in mV)
These are stable on my Sapphire Vega 56 Pulse in Windows and MacOS.

Why don't you install the beta? Its really stable. I have been using it for a while and I would not go back

Thank you demonknight, I manage to successfully install the beta and it works!
However did you manage to make USB works? mine doesn't even after I reinstall my previous kext

I don't use a kext. Just use the information on post #1 here and remove kext https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/mojave-10-14-4-port-limit-removal-patch.274052/

Make sure you remove all the VGTab edits as you dont need them anymore.
