Well I did all the steps mentioned above for the XOSI fix and rebooted, but still no 3.0 speeds. Then I ran the Inject All kext thru Kext Utility and rebooted again-- still no 3.0 speed and somehow one of the hubs is now dead.

ok, regarding the XOSI, I think I see now:

1. click the little + icon on the right
2. for comment put change _OSI to XOSI
3. for find* [HEX] put 5F4F5349
4. for Replace* [HEX] put 584F5349

Is that correct?

I don't use Clover Configurator, but it sounds right...
I just use xcode and copy/paste.

Do I also need to do this?:

In the Rt Variables section set your booterconfig to 0x28 and CsrActiveConfig to 0x67

Not really related to USB..., but those settings are typical/recommended.

No ideas without "Problem Reporting" files.

I reset CsrActiveConfig back to what it was (0x3) and the dead hub is working again, but still no 3.0 speeds.

Please provide *all* "Problem Reporting" data in a single reply.

From your ioreg, it seems you have the xHCI controller disabled in BIOS. Not sure why you expect USB3 speeds with the USB3 controller disabled...

Also, you're using the _OSI->XOSI patch, but you have no SSDT-XOSI.aml in ACPI/patched. It is completely wrong as it causes ACPI abort on any use of _OSI.

Missing:
- EFI/Clover
- kextstat output
- kextcache output

Also, read edits in #18.
