Hey shilohh,

I'd like to report that with your new files, my reg hangs on "DSMOS has arrived" for the usb installation.
Looking at possible solutions.

Thanks for reporting. That is usually GPU or fake smc related. Can you please outline exactly what you've done and what files you've used for what? Also, is your 780 a gk110b (do you require the web driver?)

Yes its a gk110b, I actually just got it working. I did a couple of things in the same step so not sure which one fixed it but:
1- replaced FAKESMC with freshly downloaded version
2- removed CalDigitFastIO and CalDigitUSBxHCI from the kext file
3- used another config.plist attached below
View attachment config copy.txt Edit: opps forgot to save as plist.

regards,

Could you please try putting my config.plist and cal digit kexts back and booting it again. I'm 90% sure that its FakeSMC related. What version of FakeSMC are you now using?

I'm guessing you got it from Andrew's site as that looks like one of his config.plists so no need to upload if that's the case.

Done Testing, I did the following.

1- Keep new FakeSMC, place back your config + cali:
[ Stuck on DSMOS has arrived ]
2- Put the previous config and keeping cali Kext:
[Passes DSMOS, hangs on ErP timer is not specified Defaulting to 0x3840]
3- Removing Cal kext, and using your config:
[Boots into installer]

Regards,
Thanks for taking the time to do that. I'm guessing this is board specific to the X79D and R4BE as they have a ASM1074 USB3 chip and ASM1042 USB3 Chips. The CalDigit kexts only work for the ASM1042 ports. I'll come up with a work around. Are you using genericUSBXHCI for USB3? If so, Is it causing any issues for you?

GenericUSBxHCI works fine for me.

What i am facing trouble with right now is in MacPro 5.1, is when i am on the web driver my gpu fans go full speed and its extremely loud.

Try copying the AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext to a folder for back-up. Then delete it from /S/L/E and make sure there are no kexts on your desktop. Run kextbeast to rebuild kext caches and reboot. If that helps, you can try editing the kext's plist for your card and re-install it or find a way to see if clover can force it not to load so you don't have to worry about it for future updates.

PS, Thanks for testing and reporting
