macOS should have had at least recognized it as Nvidia and it should have native support in High Sierra! Or am I wrong?
You're wrong.

The card is running well in Sierra by the way. At least... :)

Ran it at high

I can confirm GT 1030 is working after installing latest Nvidia Web Drivers on macOS Sierra 10.12.6

Detected as : NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 2047 MB

Model : MSI GeForce GT 1030 2G LP OC installed on below configuration.

I am running a DP to Hdmi-cable right now at 1080p. It works. Haven't tried 4K.
Would you mind telling me how you got CUDA working on your 1030 mine says "No GPU Detected" and gpusniffer wont pick it up. Already running Nvidia alternate webdriver

I had a GTX 1050 running with webdriver. I just swapped in the GT 1030 and it worked. Sorry I can't tell you more.

Would you mind saring your kext list and config.plist for me to dissect?

For CUDA you need at least CUDA 9.0 RC driver! Thats first driver can handle pascal gpus.
Its only available by dev download and its only to have complete with dev sdk = 1,3 GB DL at CUDA dev zone.

But i can say its runs well on Sierra :)

I am very happy with my Gigabyte GT 1030!
Its so fast compared to my not slow GTX 650 (in CUDA / OpenCL up to 4 times faster, Metal up to 2 times) before - and takes so less power.

No sleep problem, some other have. I would recommend to compare the company of those GT 1030 have slepp/wake up problems. Perhaps they all (i think rare!) have same sleep/wake problem -maybe their BIOS of GPU isnt good for OS X. In the past some BIOS of GPUs made problems...
