Install Mavericks on unsuported Macs
To the question for the folks who are wondering about this I have done this on my MacPro 1,1. It takes a little bit of work and a developer tool called the Flat Package editor. The only requirements are the editing of the install files (which may or may not go against the EULA) and a compatible GPU made specifically for a Mac or any card on listed on the compatibility list which works OOB. Using a GPU which does not is not flashed for a Mac you will lose the Apple Start-up screen and being able to select start-up drive during start-up.
So far with mine it's working out well. To do this may violate the EULA of OS X by Apple. To do this I suggest Googling "Install Mavericks on unsupported Macs".
