System crashes, possibly because of Google Chrome?

It appears to be a bug in the Ethernet driver you're using.

If Mieze's driver supports your device, it is probably a better choice: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/to...lcomm-atheros-ar816x-ar817x-and-killer-e220x/

The ALXEthernet.kext has issues with Mavericks and higher. its due to a memory leak. Either use WIFI or buy a external PCI-E NIC. This card works fine http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HP-412651...816937?hash=item4d3abb0569:g:EWAAAOSwI-BWHRKw it uses AppleIntelE1000e V3.1.0.

Show photo of KP.

hmm, I don't think that the issue is completely caused by Chrome/Internet access because I just used the space bar quick look feature and it crashed.

Is there no way to really look into the log files and search for the cause?

KP == "Kernel Panic". Title of thread is "System crashes". Implies KP.

You're using WiFi, no ethernet?

and how should I take a photo of the KP? I can't find any evidence for the crash afterwards in the console and I don't really know where to look.

And yes, I'm currently using Wifi, but have tried ethernet with the AppleIntelE1000.kext dowloaded here and installed with KextBeast. But same deal, crashes too

Also, it rebooted a few seconds ago because I opened the trash can (maybe it was Internet in the background or the file access of the trash can, who knows)

Define 'it' as in what crashed when you say "it crashed"?

I don't think your problem is related at all to the problem posted by the OP.

You should open a separate thread.
