It appears to be a bug in the Ethernet driver you're using.

If Mieze's driver supports your device, it is probably a better choice: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/to...lcomm-atheros-ar816x-ar817x-and-killer-e220x/

Where can I create/read these crash reports?
Console?

okay, I just re-created the system crash by visiting this page in Chrome and the console shows the following report:

20.11.15 20:32:12,000 kernel[0]: Google Chrome He[5611] triggered unnest of range 0x7fff92400000->0x7fff92600000 of DYLD shared region in VM map 0xa729c36d2f201e6f. While not abnormal for debuggers, this increases system memory footprint until the target exits.

20.11.15 20:32:59,000 bootlog[0]: BOOT_TIME 1448047979 0

if I open the page in Safari, everything's fine, but the OS also crashed a few minutes ago when searching something in Spotlight

That stuff is normal from Chrome but I think unrelated to the KP you previously posted.

Not surprising... Chrome is a pig. Too bad it is the most useful cross platform browser with the best plugins.

Hi,

I've uninstalled my old network kext and installed the one you suggested but still get crashes. The crash report still says ALXEthernet, even though I've deleted it and rebuilt the kernel cache

Evidently you didn't remove the old kext and install the new one correctly. A kext you deleted cannot crash.

I get the same problem with chrome.
by using firefox these restarts became minimal/nonexistent.
for me, the restart while using chrome usually occured when opening a new tab with youtube

jep, just had the same situation a few minutes ago with YouTube but also occurred on Facebook and other sites

EDIT: opening YouTube in Safari crashed the system too
