Hi everybody, tomorrow I will receive my first M.2 drive and I will have to split the operating systems currently in dual boot on the same drive (SSD 500GB SATA) in this way:
  • macOS on the new SSD M.2 250GB
  • Win10 on the current SSD 500GB SATA
I think I should proceed cloning the APFS Container and the EFI to the new SSD M.2 (cloning the entire drive without the NTFS Windows partition and the System Reserved partition) and to leave only the Windows 10 partition and System Reserved partition on the current SSD SATA removing all the rest, but I'm not sure if the Windows folder placed in the EFI will automatically recognizes the new Windows location or if it will not recognizes it at all or even if this is the right procedure.
I tried to search but I found only guides from zero and honestly, if I can't, I won't prefer install Windows 10 again from zero.

Thank you for your help, appreciate this.

Depends on which you installed first - Mac OS or Win10. Boot Win10 open disk management tool and post pic of the screen showing your drive partitions.
