The GT 610 is unsupported in Sierra but does work in Yosemite.I have the same system but with a GT 610. Installation of Yosemite ran smoothly but when I booted into OS X for the first time, none of my USB ports worked. I can't figure out the problem..
The USB problem is mentioned in Post #1 :
Open Finder and navigate to /System/Library/Extensions - Locate file AppleHPET.kext and move it to the Trash. If you don’t delete AppleHPET.kext you will have to boot with -f every time or you will lose access to your USB ports and network.
If you use the DSDT file DSDT_7900_osx109.aml the USB ports work without deleting AppleHPET.kext.
