I have the same system but with a GT 610. Installation of Yosemite ran smoothly but when I booted into OS X for the first time, none of my USB ports worked. I can't figure out the problem..
The GT 610 is unsupported in Sierra but does work in Yosemite.

The USB problem is mentioned in Post #1 :
Open Finder and navigate to /System/Library/Extensions - Locate file AppleHPET.kext and move it to the Trash. If you don’t delete AppleHPET.kext you will have to boot with -f every time or you will lose access to your USB ports and network.

If you use the DSDT file DSDT_7900_osx109.aml the USB ports work without deleting AppleHPET.kext.

Alright, I will try the DSDT file. My GPU works fine out of the box, it's just the USB ports I'm having a problem with.

I tried the DSDT file. I guess I didn't install it right because none of the USB ports are working. I put it in /CLOVER/ACPI/patched
Did you rename it to DSDT.aml ?

Hi.
As I wrote in another thread on this forum, there is no need to use a DSDT with the DC7900.
Everything works (except sleep) and the system even boots much faster without a DSDT than with the one found in this forum.
Just edit the config.plist according to the settings found in the attachment.
Use system definition 13,1.
Use kexts FakeSMC.kext and AppleIntelE1000e.kext in clover kexts folder.
Use USBInjectAll.kext and GenericUSBXHCI.kext for USB3 cards.
Use a 6-8€ USB sound adaptor (e.g. Sabrent) that is much more hassle-free than the VoodooHDA method.

Cheers
Michael

Hello all

I have a small problem : my DC7900 won't boot with a Logitech C170 webcam plugged in. It gets stuck at the HP INVENT blue screen. The webcam works perfectly if I plug it after the boot sequence. I tried that webcam on two other HP DC7900 : same thing. I had the same problems a few months ago with other Logitech webcam models on the same computers. I could boot with some Logitech webcam models but not with other ones. Apparently I am not the only one with that problem :

http://help.sparkbooth.com/discussions/questions/50090-pc-wont-boot-with-camera-plugged-in (this guy has a DC7900 too)

https://www.******.com/r/techsupport/comments/32b449/computer_wont_start_with_webcam_plugged_in/ (doesn't say what kind of computer)

I tried the C170 webcam on other non HP computers and they all boot perfectly with it. So, before I buy another webcam only to find that it freezes the booting, could you people tell me what webcam you use with your DC7900 ?

Thanks in advance

I use my dc7900 as a server so I don't use a webcam with it but I do use one with my workstation :
