[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

is this what the USB ports should look like ?

No, because all of the available HS/SS ports are listed. This means that the related SSDT wasn't applied/loaded. As I've provided the SSDT for the Fractal Design Define R6 it should list 14 USB ports as follows:

PS can you attach your .aml file? His attached files have two files names SSDT-UIAC-DESIGNARE-Z390-FD-DEFINE-R6. One with .aml extension and another one with a .dsl extension

Ps I guess I’m supposed to remove the intel wireless card ? I can reboot and try it now

@CaseySJ Did you re-run your Geekbench test? I'm getting something better than yours in my configuration. I think I applied all the performance improvements I could find in this thread.

Those are my results:

Ok I tried Casey’s file and get the same thing so I guess the patch isn’t being applied . Any suggestions? Thanks

@tdcam

Could you upload your config.plist? I'm just guessing that you've still enabled the USB-Limit-Patch in "Kernel and Kext Patches/KextsToPatch"

Thanks / attached. I may just try a fresh install. I used migration assistant and maybe this messed things up?

This is great! Thank you. Love it.

Just a minor thing to clarify, I have to press the FN key and F1 or F2 to adjust. Can't seem to make the native key work (just pressing F1 or F2 with no FN key) with this patch.

Is that how it's supposed to work or am I missing something?

Thanks again!
It works with just F1 and F2 on my new Keytron mechanical RGB keyboard with true Mac keycaps!
