[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Thunderbolt Ports not working, please help. It says no drivers are loaded. UPDATE It shows something under PCI though. Still wont recognize Gtech Thunderbolt 2 Drives plugged in via Apples TB 3to2 Adapter.

I had this same problem with everything working except TB3. I traced the problem to an inactivated HS01. Once I re-did this (I posted the changes here), then the TB3 ports began working. To see if this is your problem, run IORegistryExplorer and look in the same location that I posted. If you see the same, then you can use the SSDT that I uploaded in that same post.

Everytime I installed intel power gadget today i got the following error and had to reinstall.

Hi everyone, thank @CaseySJ for the detailed guide and all those who helped develop it.
My configuration is the one in my account:
Gigabyte Z390 designate
i7 9700k
Sapphire RX 580 Pulse
Fractal Design Define C
Fenvi FV-T919
Benq EW3270U
Magic Tracpad 2
LMP keyboard for Mac
I followed the installation procedure step by step it went well, everything works, but I can't reactivate the Mac after the suspension. I configured it to use FCPX. Do I have to use Fractal design Define R6 SSDT or do I have to change something in the BIOS?
Thank you.

Hello @ilboss26,

If you're having problems with wake-from-sleep, then you should replace the standard SSDT-UIAC-DESIGNARE-Z390-V5 with SSDT-UIAC-DESIGNARE-Z390-FD-DEFINE-R6-HS12.

For Final Cut Pro X we recommend:
 • SMBIOS name = iMacPro1,1 or iMac18,3
 • Platform ID = 0x3E920003 or 0x3E910003
 • BIOS --> IGFX --> Disabled (for iMacPro1,1) or Enabled (for iMac18,3)

I installed the modified SSDT file you posted after removing the original one and removed the "-b"in the file name so it would match the original. Did a reboot from complete shutdown and still no luck.

Hello everyone and big thumbs up to CaseySJ for this wonderfull guide! My system is running properly without any big issues but i do have two small problems. Hope someone can help me a bit...

- JPEG Preview does not work. Tried using NoVPAjpeg.kext without any success.

- I think USB3 drives are not working properly. I followed all the guide steps with no success.

Im running Mojave .4 last version. My specs are: i7-9700K, 32GBRAM Crucial Ballistix Sport, Gygabite Z390 Gaming X, IGPU active, dGPU Nvidia GTX650 (for now.... Natively supported by OSX). Two 970 standard NVME drives.

Thank you in advance ! :)

HI @CaseySJ, I'm using RX580 and Z390 (UHD630) as well, after the Mojave 10.14.4 update, it seems the system can not recognize the UHD630 properly. I'm using Orinoco as FrameBuffer controller and properties key (AAPL,ig-platform-id) = 07009B3E, however can't get the full acceleration. But it worked well when it was Mojave 10.14.3. Any comments?
