[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Hello @jjsenecal,

Glad to hear it! To answer your questions:
  1. First make a full bootable backup. Things can and will go wrong at any time so backing up now is the single best thing you can do. Updating drivers and Clover is nice, but not required. So backup the system first.
  2. Then you may certainly install Clover 5106. I've had no issues with it. You may also install latest Lilu, WhateverGreen, AppleALC, and VirtualSMC.
  3. Tips for installing Windows are provided in a spoiler in Post #1. Please look for Tips for Installing Windows 10. All MacOS drives must be physically disconnected in order to install Windows. Windows NVMe must be in the upper M2M slot.
Thank you for the quick response. I greatly appreciate the guidance.

You guys think the new Presonus Quantum 2626 TB3 audio interface would work with the onboard TB3 on z390 Designare? (with tb3-SSDT from post #1, and same status in hardware/PCI with thunderbolt showing up here, just as depicted in post #1 / post-installation.)
Can’t see any successes reported in post #1 regarding audio device TB3->TB3.
The new Presonus audio interface could be interesting to many Hackintoshers running eg. Logic.

I have been wondering this too. Their gear tends to be very compatible with various hardware and they do support their legacy devices. Hesitant on the converter quality though. So far the known not working were the slate/antelope guys. UAD/Lynx/Focustrie are known to work well with hackintosh thunderbolt.
Love my Antelope Orion Studio rev2017 but having to run is over USB2 cripples its full potential.
If budget permits I may snag one of the new Quantums to test. I wish their 48channel one was on TB3.

Anyone interested in a Firmware which can Hotplug even without an SSDT ? @CaseySJ @Elias64Fr

MacPro7,1 Firmware is the future !!! It has also some side effects like only one Thunderbolt Port works at the moment but come on guys, even without an SSDT ?!

Actually, you can't use Titan Ridge AIC without SSDT in host status. Because in iMac, Mac Pro, and MacBook, all their thunderbolt 3 ports should be accompanied with SSDT(you can see the picture from my MacBook Pro in below). It sounds strange, that is the necessary rule, though.

And Mac mini as well

Please try the attached version and be prepared to put the original firmware back in case this one fails!
so far unsuccessfully...
SysInfo => Thunderbolt: NO
Hotplug: NO

If I try to boot without connected TB-device - RP05 is empty.

I took your "SSDT-TBOLT3-RP05-PORT7-GC-ALPINE-RIDGE.aml" & "SSDT-DTPG.aml"

Code:
[losinka@imac]:~/Downloads/AlpineRidge$ log show --last boot --predicate 'process == "kernel"' --style compact | grep -i thunderbolt

What is the difference with previously posted without any SSDT ;) Here and Here for Hotplug ?

Probably that this was your Onboard Chip and not an AIC Add On Card. None of the firmware versions around had hot plug without an ssdt on the aic solution at least on my systems, no matter X299 or the Dominus.

I know that usually an SSDT is needed but how do you explain my screenshots that I posted without one at all?

You found an old mini-guide, but that mini-guide says:

UPDATE:
This procedure is being revised after further testing... Please do not use at this time.

  • You can easily use on-board Intel CNVi WiFi/BT in Windows -- just do NOT install any Broadcom driver.
  • This allows Windows to ignore the Broadcom Fenvi FV-T919 and use the internal Intel WiFi/BT module.
  • When you boot into macOS, there is already an SSDT that hides the Intel CNVi, so in macOS only the Fenvi FV-T919 will be activated.
I will try to remove the Drivers (which I think I did not install at all) but the Fence-T919 is natively supported by windows without any driver so is that really working ?
1) I am experiencing some Bluetooth signal Loss in windows but not in Mac which may be related to some incompatibilities of the dual Wifi/BT card isn' it ? (All Intel drivers are up to date).
Is that worth it removing physically the Intel Wifi/BT card and only using the Fenvi on windows and Mac ?
Any others solutions on Windows to remove or cancel the Fenvi card ?

2) Moreover, I am using a Bluetooth KeyBoard and a BlueTooth mouse. Is there any way to activate Bluetooth during the Boot to be able to select the Boot destination on BootClover Manager ?

Thank you

Did you try with no SSDT after unplugging for :30?

If still nada then that’s confirmation that I need to make a separate one for nvm18.

Your card is version B and mine is Version C.

Standby.

Actually I need a full back up first. Can you provide?
I updated the firmware to NVM18
When I reboot with SSDT-RP21 with the same DROM as on NVM18 :
- The Thunderbolt is OK on IOReg
- The USB C network can be hot pluggable and disconnected: the network is functional through it
- No more than before on AppleThunderboltHAL tree

Code:
                               "ThunderboltDROM",
                                Buffer (0x77)
                                {
