Hello, recently I have been having a lot of trouble getting past the respective Boot screens in my attempt to boot High Sierra from a usb on my Acer Laptop (specs in profile)
Initially I followed this guide exactly https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...ported-intel-based-pc.235474/#create_unibeast
Unibeast to created my installer, which would successfully load the Unibeast boot screen with the option to attempt to load Install High Sierra. Upon selection, in verbose it would output the message below, afterwhich it would reboot the entire device to no effect
After trying twice more to recreate the installs using unibeast with no difference, I searched more and found a guide on configuing it manually.
I did my best to follow this guide https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/
steps that I took: (Link to .zip of CLOVER folder)
wiped using diskutil
downloaded the latest official clover build and installed to CLOVER EFI
selected appropriate custom driver settings
downloaded recommended kexts to EFI/Clover/kexts/Other:
FakeSMC.kext, VoodooPS2Controller.kext, Lilu.kext, IntelGraphicsFixup.kext
chose the intel 520 config from this repo https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Clover-Laptop-Config
used createinstallmedia to install High Sierra on the usb,
disabled appropriate bios settings, and booted the installer
This time i again reached the different Clover boot screen, and attempted to boot the install drive but am greeted with the same error when adding -v
I would really like to get this working, does anyone have some resources they can point me towards to help me get onto the next stage of installation, or any suggestions that might solve this issue?
This laptop only has a singular RAM slot (some fixes I see suggest moving to a different one)
When not using verbose, I am shown the Apple logo on a black screen for 5s upon which my laptop reboots in both cases. I would be happy to provide any more relevant info, thanks for the help
