Have you had a look at this? > https://github.com/acidanthera/WhateverGreen/blob/master/Manual/FAQ.IntelHD.en.md

Check the sections under 'HDMI in UHD resolution with 60FPS' and 'Fix the infinite loop on establishing Intel HDMI connections with a higher pixel clock rate on Skylake, Kaby Lake and Coffee Lake platforms'

It looks like you may have to add the -igfxhdmidivs boot-args to make it work.

@Middleman, i must apologize i do not know how to add the boot-args? do i use Clover Configurator? cos the screenshot from the FAQ looks like a different software

Yeah you can use Plistpro and under the NVRAM section there should be a line marked boot-args where you put the flag in. Just add a space at the end of whatever is in the current setting and add the flag/s.

Thanks @Feartech @Middleman

I have tried the following but it didnt change anything, still lucky booted without issues everytime:
add -igfxmpc to boot-args.
-igfxhdmidivs
also
enable-max-pixel-clock-override

I also tried NvidiaWeb, under System Parameters
but it didnt work

any further advice will be appreciated

Thanks @Edhawk @trs96 @TripleYoThreat @Middleman @Feartech

TLDR: There is a setting at the menu of The MONITOR itself for display port Version1.2 and voila : you get 4k display

The Long version:
1. I started off with intel on-board HD4600 from GA-H87-D3H but it was really not encouraging.
2. Changed my HDMI cable , no luck
3. Changed my graphics card to GT730, i got a version from HP which seems more like a workstation as mine has Display Port (DP) and DVI.
4. Got a Display Port cable 1.2
5. Finally i changed the settings on the MONITOR itself:
Menu > Display Settings > DisplayPort 1.2 > Enable.

Happy man now :-D
