Sierra & Safari: Freezing and reboot!

No. There is no point having onboard IGPU along with a dedicated card that just works out of the box. It is pointless better to just disable IGPU and just use dedicated or better still go back to 10.11.6.

So if I get you right, the fix in post 20 was addressed to people who didn't have a dedicated GPU and were in need to make their IGPU work because it was their only graphic solution?

People without dedicated Graphics and use onboard IGPU are better to just stay at 10.11.6 and not use 10.12.4.

Yes, the freeze is back with 10.12.4. Anyone with a fix yet?

The HD4600 patch didn't work for my HD5200 so I'm trying the following patch (based on this post). I'll report back if I get another freeze.

EDIT: So far no crashes :)

While there were no crashes I would get graphics glitches sometimes after my PC came out of sleep which would require a reboot to fix. So I don't recommend this patch for HD 5200 anymore.

Now I'm trying IntelGraphicsFixup.kext (along with Lilu.kext and Shiki.kext) using Clover injection.

Apparently it:
- Fixes boot logo on all known Intel Graphics.
- Fixes PAVP freezes on Intel Azul Graphics.

I'll report back any issues.

I get kernel panic's now when I run DiskWarrior on a partition, never happened before 10.12.4. Wondering if it's this modification or 10.12.4? If somebody could test it, it would be nice. My option now is to just run DiskWarrior from an external drive that has El Capitan on it and of course it all works.

UPDATE: All 3 kexts have been updated by the developer, I re-tried DW and no more KP's. :headbang:
Could be a coincidence but it's very unlikely since my system was not changed in any way.

Has anyone experienced such a thing on Skylake Graphics?

When the 10.12.4 update released, I have had issues with video playback within Twitter, YouTube, etc within Safari. It freezes my display entirely for about 0.5 seconds, every 2-3 seconds until I quit Safari/WebKit altogether. Then, ultimately everything returns to normal until I reproduce the issue.

After some googling, it led me here since it was the most relevant thread on the matter, although not for graphics using the Azul framebuffer.
