Yes, when you mess with the PowerPlay Tables, Vegas can consume a lot of power.
I played A little bit with VGTab and I am quiet happy with temperature and noise settings now, and I managed to achieve 11:30 minutes with the same video rendering in Davince which would be roughly 10% faster, but somehow it doesn‘t show power consumption when I have the vega56.kext loaded. Both on OC and clover. As soon as I remove it, I can see the power consumption of my Vega 56. (by the way, when I am booting with OC it’s around 425 Watt at full load, And with clover it’s around 530 Watt, therefore I am using OC)
edit: I now figured out why there is a discrepancy of 100 Watt difference. The OC loader had the latest version of the radoenboost.kext implemented (1.6.) where the vega56 isnt supported anymore, and the clover loader had version 1.0 where vega still was supported. I figured out that using radeonboost.kext uses around 100 Watt more power on my machine (see below: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...ld-w-i9-9900k-amd-vega-56.239969/post-2140907)
