Nothing Found that i had 5 HDAEnabler kext files in S/L/E 888-898
removed all the others and sound works.




Hey guys,

been trying to get sound working on the same motherboard.

i have tried everything under the sun to get sound.

just tried the steps above and still nothing.

What i did notice is that the System Report sees the sound card and all of the connections. but still no cards listed in System Preferences.

Any ideas what i could be doing wrong?

ran multibeast then the kext wizard clean up..

Install Drivers & Bootloaders/ Kexts & Enablers/ Audio/ Realtek ALC8xx/ Patched AppleHDA/ ALC889
With this the sound will work.

Hi , Could you tell me where I can get these two items ?
I tried MB 4.6.1 with no result .
Still crackle only.

I am on 10.6.3
Did a lot of swapping things last night from another drive that goes.
I touched the volume and yikes it worked perfectly.
I have VoodooHDA.kext 0.2.62 in SYsTM/Lib/Ext/-
It comes up as tunable in Preference pane.
Now if I could only get my network going AGAIN !
