If your Mouse and Keyboard are not working do you have USB legacy support enabled in the BIOS.

Also did mouse and keyboard work in 10.6.3 ...

I see you said you ram MultiBeast ....

We do not use MultiBEast ... do over from ground zero... and do not use MultBeast.

yes i tried the legacy, but did not help, & yes it was working on 10.6.3. I will do it from scratch again & will try Going Bald's advice which is to upd8 to 10.6.8 on SL then create a Unibeast bootable mavs & upd8 to Mavs then run Multibeast in there i'll
see how it goes, let u guys know. by the way im installing it in a Kingston 120GB SSD 300V.

thanks for your help again.

Are you still on Snow Leopard? Running MultiBeast on 10.6.8 after updating is a waste of time when you have Haswell hardware.
Boot with the iBoot Haswell disk, go to the Mac App Store and download the Mavericks install app. Follow the guide http://www.tonymacx86.com/374-unibeast-install-os-x-mavericks-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html and install Mavericks. THEN run MultiBeast.

And since you have an Asus Z87, follow this guide http://www.tonymacx86.com/401-install-bootloader-extra-efi-partition.html to be able to boot from the HDD/SSD.

ok, i'll try it. thanks again!

so i have installed SL from the scratch again, updated to 10.6.8, downloaded unibeast, mavs & upon creating a unibeast bootable USB i encountered an error at the installation (see image below):banghead: photo.jpg

any ideas?

Try a different USB drive - also you might want to post the problem at http://www.tonymacx86.com/unibeast/
You are not the only one.

ok, I got that fixed by updating the apple software installer 1.0 and succesfully made a MAVS USB boot, but then im having problem booting from the USB i cant get past the installer, it just shows the apple logo in a split sec then reboots the system over. any suggestions will be appreciated.

As GB has pointed out it could be your USB drive.

As many of these are not name brand and USB 2 drives are getting scarce.

I suggest locating a USB 2.0 drive that you can use.

If you have a Costco in your town they carry pack of 3 or 4 that work; as I have made all my USB drives from these. Sandisk 16 and 8 GB - 3 or 4 packs.

The Sandisk 16GB version is only $9.99 at Staples right now. Got a 32Gb size for this price 2 mos. ago.

thank You

in my situation I have USB of OSX in many flavors so having extras around is a godsend... plus use them for the various versions of WinBlows and Linux....

But that is also a good Idea to get one from Staples... provided the have in in stock as its been my experience that YMMV at Stables.
