The 45 degree rotation should be flat on the bed and still fit. It will be close.

Thanks to phunguss for the valuable info and tips. I am able to print the rear Mac mini IO within the 120mm squared print area. I won't have to build it in separate pieces after all. Theres a shroud around the Mac Pro grille to hide untidy edges. Following the Tinkercad link takes you to a page where you can view it in 3D.

Parts on my wish list. Dynatron K2 75mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler, this comes recommended, up to 4000 RPM, lots of copper and a vent to direct air. $42 on Newegg and there currently out of stock, but I did spot some on eBay. I'm also tempted with Thermaltakes Engine 27 1U, a little pricey at $55, (Newegg) though and no shroud to direct air out of the case, I could print one!. It does come with a very nice video though. I also like the look of the Noctua NH L9i, it's also the cheapest at $40 on Newegg.

Team Group MS30 M.2 2280 128GB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD). Just $26 on Newegg and it has positive reviews, I have the right connection. Can you use M.2 NVMe?, just at SSD speeds maybe?.

And finally Timetec Hynix 8GB DDR4 2400 SO-DIMM, compatible with the 2017 27" 5K iMac apparently, $34 Newegg. I haven't decided on Processor yet.

1. The GigaByte v1.0 motherboard is M.2 Sata only, no NVMe.

2. Glad the size of the IO is going to work for your printer! Please check the model, the 3 extended tabs should be connected to the IO plate, it appears there is some type of gap in there, it may not print correct. Not sure if that was lost in the translation from STL to TinkerCAD.

3. I have the Dynatron K2, they are by no means quiet. It is hard to locate coolers with a directional output and a "squirrel cage"/blower/centrifugal fan. I ordered a couple lower amperage ones off of eBay from China, so who knows when they will arrive (COVID may have the export ports shut down). I have lots of 4 wire fans salvaged from old macs that could possibly work, but no successful PWM rewire/conversion on any of them yet.

Thanks phunguss, I was looking at it in Cura and noticed it.

That fixed it, I also cut a corner of the long extended tab to ensure it fits inside the print area.

I mentioned earlier in the thread about the goals for this project and what I wanted it to do. After some reading I discovered that yes I could probably get BotW working on macOS, but it's not going to do it without a graphics card. That got me thinking and I started looking into external graphics or eGPU. After finding the correct term and doing a search here, I came across this, V8.0 EXP GDC Laptop External PCIE Graphics Card for Beast Dock Mini PCI-E (eBay). The connection to the GA—H110MSTX motherboard is the next piece of the jigsaw.

I'm happy with it, I managed to blank out the holes that phunguss used for the antenna in his build. I'm planning to connect via ethernet for now, it will live between the TV and router. I fit six of Apples holes into the design, I can't push further left because it will interfere with the power switch.
