i7 4790k and MSI z97 Gaming 5

Hey guys so last time I built a hackintosh z97 boards were not widespread and compatible yet. But I have been reading recent postings and I hear that you can not only use z97 boards, but MSI ones too.

This makes me extremely happy and I was wondering what the catch was.
The plan for my new build is
I7 4790k
MSI Gaming 5
NZXT Phantom 530
CX 750m
Corsair Vengeance 16 GB
2 Kingston 120 GB SSDs
GTX 970 G1
WD blue 1Tb
H100i

I think everything is compatible, I am just worried about the z97 chip set, is it all set and working with the installation?

I'm about to take on something similar with MSI and 4970. I guess I'm just gonna go for it and see what happens...

Me too, another thread said that if the board was in the build guide its likely it will work. Yosemite has had luck with z97 boards.
