So, I've run the test, and the fans are working, so I guess everything worked out of the box and not extra config is needed for vega 56

Thank you pastrychef!

If you are going to disable IGPU, use iMacPro1,1.

If you are going to disable IGPU, use iMacPro1,1.

Thank you pastrychef,

I've switched to iMacPro 1.1 end eveything works fine, Geekbench multi score though it noticeably lower around 500marks 6970 compared to 7444 imac 19.1. Should i be concerned from the score drop?

CPU performance should not be affected regardless of whether you use iMac18,x, iMac19,x, or iMacPro1,1 system definitions. Make sure there are no background processes running when you run Geekbench. You can see what's running by entering the following in to Terminal:
Code:
top

You can monitor the Vega temperatures by entering the following in Terminal:
Code:
ioreg -l |grep \"PerformanceStatistics\" | cut -d '{' -f 2 | tr '|' ',' | tr -d '}' | tr ',' '\n'|grep 'Temp\|Fan'

is this command just for Vega fan temperatures?
