Guide To Install Yosemite on HP Laptops with Clover UEFI

Hello.

OSY running like hell on my Probook 6460b, but I have problems with Windows: Only 32Bit version is running without bluescreen. Therefore I inserted second disk instead of DVD and installed there 32Bit Win7.

Can I boot that in any way via Clover? Currently it is not visible in Bootmenu. Do I have to add something?

Only chance to boot it is via F9 and then selecting second disk directly.

Thanks.
Yours Simon

Hello,
Thanks for the guide.

I m installing Yosemite on 4430s following the guide with 2b strictly, except that I didn't find how to disable firmware device.
After installing OS X (6) I found: "boot device not found. Please install os on your hard disk"
And I can't get to choose boot device: both F9 and F10 lead me to system diagnostics page.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

You forgot to install Clover.

When did I have to do this? I've reread the guide and haven't foud what i'm missing..

I accomplished all steps till (and including)

"6. Press spacebar if a nagging screen about Mouse/keyboard appears. Install screen will appear, use Disk Utility to format your drive as GPT, create a Mac OS X Extended (Journaled) partition and install Yosemite to your formatted partition."

Read the guide carefully. In step 7, you should still be booting to the USB using Esc/F9 at BIOS...

The machine randomly reboots and then reports some kind of problem in multiple languages, which disappears before I can take a picture. However, when this happens I get this:

Read the guide carefully. In step 7, you should still be booting to the USB using Esc/F9 at BIOS...

but in the step 6 it is said:

If you used step 2b, go straight to step 10.

Anyway I can't boot to the USB using Esc/F9 due to the problem mentioned above -
both F9 and F10 lead me to system diagnostics page......

Step 10 tells you to press ESC > F9.

The trick is you have to press really quickly.

This Recovery HD is optional or forcefully created? I have had always used method 2b since mountain lion however I never had Recovery HD partition created by default(never saw any option either yet ). So was wondering is it related to Clover installation somehow? Either way how to avoid it being created in first place (or later deleted?). Does it allocate itself 600+MB from the target install partition?

Anybody?

Step 10 tells you to press ESC > F9.

The trick is you have to press really quickly.

The trick has worked!
But after I choose "Boot from EFI file" I only see "Select File System" menu and only one option - "EFI, Acpi..."
Meaning - I can't
choose Clover bootloader partition
