I have the High Sierra install .app and I start it and do the following through screenshots below. Click install to MACOS. Authorise Helper install. Click restart. Then it just reboots and nothing happens. I'm back at the Sierra log in. I've attached hopefully the other bits you asked.

@RehabMan
i saw hd 3000 hdmi-audio patch for 10.7~10.13

i'm researching hd 3000 hdmi-audio patch for snow leopard.

before apply this patch, connector type 00 04 00 00

8040110e 0041c785 e0010000 04000000
8040110e 0041c785 e0010000 08000000

i saw this binary patch part can change connector type. but changed connector type 01 00 00 00. you can see it on your laptop. i want to surely find hex part and change as 00 08 00 00
can you find hdmi-audio binary patch for snow leopard? or no need patch in snow leopard?

Search in the kext for the framebuffer data, then patch accordingly.

Hey @RehabMan I have a problem with my audio I only have high tone but no bass from my build-in speakers

I don't see anything wrong with your audio configuration. Low volume is quite typical though.

additionally, i found solution for brightness problem, if connect ac power adaptor.
this problem is that i can't back brightness with fn+f3 key after minimize brightness(black screen). it appears as averegy 8/10. also shown max brightness lost. sometimes after minimize brightness(black screen), increase brightness(rare case. it means success) max brightness is different compared booted brightness. i checked all DSDT part. but no luck. maybe it's hardware issue. because sometimes it is success. but happen fail case many times.

it's little trick.

my panel is samsung.
now, no more have brightness issue on my hp 4230s.

Remains for me.
HDMI-audio patch for snow leopad. Still researching.

You seem to imply you're using AppleBacklightInjector.kext on Snow Leopard??
If you follow this guide, AppleBacklightInjector.kext is only used on Sierra and later.
On SL, we use IntelBacklight.kext.

If you're brightness problem is not on SL, please describe in detail the procedures for reproducing the problem.

Pay attention to the selections available within Clover.
You must actually boot the installer in order to upgrade.

framebuffer data is different compared 10.7~ frambuffer. i checked it with ioreg.
we need to find hex patch for hdmi-audio.

- i used AppleBacklightInjector.kext for snow to high sierra. already i tested intelbacklight.kext. but same result that i mentioned. both your AppleBacklightInjector.kext and intelbacklight.kext. maybe complex hardware brightness control when bios or booting.
brightness issue happen on 10.6 to 10.13. i think its hardware issue or bios setting. i have two 4230s. it shown same result. i tested same PNLF setting on other laptop with your kext. there was no problem. only happen 4230s laptop if fallen dark brightness as averegy 8/10. almost fail that back to increase brightness(hold black screen). i have to sleep mode and wakeup, i can back brightness control.

anyway, i should use that i mentioned on my case. i don't know other 4330s or 4530s.

If you follow this guide, IntelBacklight.kext is used up to 10.11.6.
AppleBacklightInjector.kext is only used on 10.12.0 and later.
You will need to describe your issue clearly and provide "Problem Reporting" files.

As a developer yourself, I'm sure you understand the need to provide detailed information regarding any problem.

first, i followed all files with instruction. i attached all file before. i just tested fn+f2 and f3 key for brightness work.
and just found minimize brightness and fallen dark screen. then i pressed fn+f3 key. but i can't increase brightness.
only held dark screen. can't anything. so i have to sleep mode(fn+f1), system falling semi-sleep. i clicked mouse. then can wakeup screen with dimmed screen. it's simple usage. but strangely i can't on only 4230s. i first experienced this issue.
before i used hp 430 model with insyde bios, this issue was not happen.
hp 4230s can control brightness with hp logo after power on. maybe it causes complex problem.

1. system power off.
2. power on -> show HP Logo, that time, i can control brightness screen. <-- this is normal pattern as oem
3. enter osx.
4. reboot, i can't control brightness when present HP Logo.

to back control brightness when present HP Logo, full power off or unplug battery then press power button during 15sec. it's back.
Your ACPI patches are no problem. because i tested many laptop models. especially, only happen on 4230s.
my old hp 430 also has same PNLF patch. i don't know my issue happen or not on your 4530s. but i'm sure this issue. i suspect hp 4230s bios setting. because i tested all your patches and method. but no luck. to resolve brightness, there is only way i mentioned
