Updated my wife's 4530s to High Sierra today. Performed all the post-installation procedures and noticed that the audio slider is present but there is no audio. When I checked my 4530s, to my chagrin, there was no audio there either. In the past, after an update in 10.12, if audio was missing, I could just run run the Rehabman's update string in Terminal and that restored audio. Has anyone had a problem with audio for HS on 4530s? I don't see anything thus far. So it must be me and I expect I better zip some files.

Hi,

Searched this thread but no results... I'm getting stuck with the High Sierra install app. It asks to "add helper" which I click OK to and it just restarts as normal.

Any ideas?

You will need to describe the problem in detail and provide information on exactly what you are doing.

First of all, thank you for great patches.
I followed your instruction on 4230s.
Almost working.
I found two issue.
1.brightness control, if unplug ac power, brightness control is good dark to max brightness. But if plug ac power, brightness control can, but minimize brightness and go dark, i can't increase brightness. Only hold dark screen. I have to sleepmode(fn+sleepkey) and click, back brightness.

2. External mic. I first use IDT. I used your manual patch. But no luck. Does it know issue?

Thanks

>>> Your time is precious***

I made a new installation of macOS Sierra on HP Elitebook 840 G1 with UniBeast and following this guide.

Some issues appeared like Logitech wireless mouse freezing mainly when external HD is plugged and transfering.

During some witnessing on kext-to-patch (plist) i saw display port patches... then i read somewhere "4 ports", i thought maybe the VGA port is working... When plugging it on Monitor was a absolute surprise, it worked instantaneously. It was able to extend the desktop, mirror, change resolution of both monitors... full working...

***>>>Here's the question >>> I cannot make VGA work anymore :(. If i send it as problem reporting would i have help?

VGA is not primarily supported on OSX, however I have same laptop as you, my VGA works OOB both docked and laptop VGA port. I get more sharp picture if framebuffer connector is pached as DVI, HDMI..
If you patch it as VGA it will stop working.
I think thats miraculously works only on those laptops with HD4400 adn VGA in combination with Azul FB. Why it works? Nobody knows, I don't even care :)

I tried everything on that page already. Maybe i will try to install High Sierra, maybe it will work? Or is my laptop lost with hackintosh
Sorry, i was reading a reply to other member and you said "i have no interest in old tech "VGA". So forget it.

What is the size of video memory you set up on BIOS? Could you send me you config.plist if you patched with kext to patch. I cannot reproduce it anymore. :beachball:
