long time ago, hp 430 is no problem. but 4230s still can't pass here.

i see my hp 4230s dsdt can't open acpi4.0 version. if open it, have many errors.
i want to use snow leopard. The biggest reason I bought the 4230s is Snow Leopard. but now no luck..
my bios is latest 2017.05, f.63

Got it. I booted snow leopard and checked all. All is good.
HP ProBook 4230s amazing laptop for me.

No reason to patch DSDT.
This guide uses Clover hotpatch.

Even SSDT.aml that you generate from ssdtPRgen.sh must be compiled with -oa.

but my smbus not shown. 8086-1C22
i saw smbus controller from aida64 in windows7. but clover can't detect. strange. i tested other sandy laptop. there is no problem for smbus.
i just wonder just only probook happen or not

I don't think it is needed, but if it is not on the PCI bus, then it is not there (and therefore not expected in ioreg).
Might be dependent on BIOS settings.

Reported issues:
- Audio device won't load on some boots (30%).
- Glitches during start (8GB RAM)
- VGA Out fully worked before, but it stopped.

Your kextcache output shows use of trimforce. Do not use it. TRIM can be enabled via config.plist.

No idea what "glitches" you are referring to (no photo).

You should use pre-patch_hda.sh or do fully patched AppleHDA (it was discussed a while back in the El Capitan guide thread).

You are free to experiment with different ig-platform-id values, framebuffer patches, etc, in an effort to get VGA working. It is not something that interests me.

i saw hd 3000 hdmi-audio patch for 10.7~10.13

i'm researching hd 3000 hdmi-audio patch for snow leopard.

before apply this patch, connector type 00 04 00 00

i saw this binary patch part can change connector type. but changed connector type 01 00 00 00. you can see it on your laptop. i want to surely find hex part and change as 00 08 00 00
can you find hdmi-audio binary patch for snow leopard? or no need patch in snow leopard?
 
additionally, i found solution for brightness problem, if connect ac power adaptor.
this problem is that i can't back brightness with fn+f3 key after minimize brightness(black screen). it appears as averegy 8/10. also shown max brightness lost. sometimes after minimize brightness(black screen), increase brightness(rare case. it means success) max brightness is different compared booted brightness. i checked all DSDT part. but no luck. maybe it's hardware issue. because sometimes it is success. but happen fail case many times.

it's little trick.

my panel is samsung.
now, no more have brightness issue on my hp 4230s.

Remains for me.
HDMI-audio patch for snow leopad. Still researching.
