So an update: got everything working like a charm and followed the guide. Combo updating to 10.8.5 now.

I'm getting super slow read and write on my 120GB Corsair Force 3. Newest firmware, was getting 500 mb/s read and write on my macbook pro i7, on this mobo I'm getting 80/150 with Blackmagic Speed Test. Horrid speeds for an SSD this fast. Any ideas? Any settings on mobo to enable or disable for better speed? Plugged into SATA2 port.

UPDATE: Blackmagic uses noncompressed data. AJA System test won't read from my main drive in ML. I did some research and here's how to test your real SSD speed:

1. Run a test in Terminal with the following code:

time dd if=/dev/zero bs=1024k of=tstfile count=1024

2. Then take the output, which will look like this:

1024+0 records in
1024+0 records out
1073741824 bytes transferred in 2.120953 secs (506254454 bytes/sec)

real 0m2.151s
user 0m0.002s
sys 0m0.413s

3. Take the number before the bytes. In my case that is 506254454.
4. Do a google search and type in "[your number here] bytes to MB"
5. The resulting rate is your ssd speed.

10.9 released anyone try it yet? Well might not be downloadable yet, I can't check while at work.

Its available for download.

Going to try a clean instal of Mavs tonight on my HTPC build - will report back my findings as well! :headbang:

everything works fine for me
sleep + wifi + bluetooth + sound+ usb 3 + SSD

Mavericks is insanely FAST

How did you get imessages working? Or have you tried?

I just installed ML last week and installed all my programs and don't want to do a fresh install. How likely is an upgrade to work properly?
