There is no need to add DSDT patches for BCM94352... All you need is the associated FakePCIID kext and config.plist patch for 5Ghz (bluetooth is BrcmPatchRAM.kext and handoff patch in config.plsit).

Thanks for the reply, I'm not sure I'm following you 100%. I've followed the guide as detailed on the wiki page of https://github.com/the-darkvoid/XPS9530-OSX/wiki

Are you saying that in "Post install" step not to copy the patched *.aml files?

Code:
cp ./DSDT/compiled/*.aml /Volumes/EFI/EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched

This is my EFI folder with kexts/10.10

Are these the correct ones. Current issue I'm having is explained better in these screenshots. The screen freezes (caps lock key works)

This is a "safe" mode start

This is "normal" but verbose start

It looks something up with the graphics, i'm not 100% sure.

I was referring only to the requirements for the WiFi card.

Looks like a graphics issue.

Looks like a graphics issue.

Does it make a difference that the laptop is the Dell 9530 with 4k display - only resolution options are 1920 x 1080 scaled and 3840 x 2160.

I have the previous Dell XPS QHD+ screen which is 3200x1800, so it could be that there is an issue with higher resolutions.

So the graphics card tries to kick in but garbles the screen?

With ig-platform-id = 0x0a260006 the screen freezes before the login screen. See the screenshot.

When I change the ig-platform-id to 0x0a2e0008 - the login screen works with some minor artifacts on sleep button. After the login process, the screen flicks to black and sometimes for a millisecond, it goes visible, but mainly black. I've made a small video of the issue.

I should mention that QI/CE works with this ig-platform-id while in login screen.

I haven't tried any other ig-platform-ids since I'm still reading up about the process and trying to learn as I go. I've had a hackintosh on the desktop for number of years and it's been mainly easy due to having the choice to pick parts based on compatibility. Laptops are different.

I'm going to go through the install guide again trying to focus on graphics first while ignoring any other DSDT patches.

This issue I'm having is the same as @djwackmac is having with his Dell M3800. http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...dell-precision-m3800-playing-peekaboo-me.html

I've resolved it to running it in lower resolution until support comes out for 4k displays at 1920x1080 scaled. I haven't tried any DP of Yosemite since I need the laptop for work and will most likely stick with this. Thanks for the help RehabMan, the-darkvoid.

edit: this is my reply http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...-m3800-playing-peekaboo-me-4.html#post1007862

Have you tried modifying your framebuffer to support a stolen memory size of 128MB and update your bios setting accordingly?

96MB works on my laptop, but I expect the higher resolution to require more memory due to the extra pixels.

I can provide a framebuffer patch for you when I get home.

Read carefully. You did not mention the screen resolution.

Thats simple as the display only supports one native screen resolution:
3200x1800 QHD+ screen

I didn't try moving it to 128MB, it's currently set at 96MB same as the BIOS DVMT setting. I'll be thankful and will try the patch if you can provide one @the-darkvoid.
